Overview
The project was translated into a detailed 3D-printed architectural model, with the fabrication process carefully reproducing the layered floor plates, façade patterns, structural supports, and overall massing. The fine perforated façade elements particularly showcase the precision achievable through 3D printing, turning a complex architectural detail into a tangible physical feature.
More than simply representing the building's form, the model demonstrates how 3D printing can capture architectural detail, material expression, and spatial relationships at a physical scale, transforming a student design concept into a precise and visually engaging architectural object.
Process
Watertight repair, wall-thickness check and splitting the model into registration-keyed, printable modules.
Modules printed to spec — resin at 50µm where fine detail matters, durable filament where strength does.
Seam-sanding, priming, painting and bonding into the finished, presentation-ready model.
White-glove handoff, finished and ready to present.
